The brief
Here the agency was the client. It needed a site to show its work and explain how it works, and that site kept changing as the studio did.
What I built
I built and kept up the agency's site through four versions: a Bootstrap theme, a 2024 rebuild around flexible content, a 2026 redesign led by the design team, and a React test of that same design inside WordPress. Case studies, the work grid and the special landings are templates the team fills in on their own.
Features
- Case study template: hero, client need, response, making of, final thoughts
- Work grid, table view and filtered AJAX view
- Corporate pages in two languages, plus one off landings
- Video heavy home and project heroes
- Four versions, from a classic theme to React components
Challenges
Problem. When the client sits two desks away, the brief changes every week.
Solution. Templates driven by content, so a new case or page doesn't need me.
Problem. We wanted to try a component based front end without leaving WordPress.
Solution. I rebuilt the 2026 design in React with WordPress scripts, as a side branch.
Takeaway
The hardest client I've had, and the one I learned the most from.
